Course Description

The Diploma in Events Management and Design is an advanced, career-focused program designed to prepare learners for professional and leadership roles within the events industry. The program combines strategic events planning, business management and innovative event design to equip students with the skills required to manage complex and high-impact events.

Learners gain in-depth knowledge in accounting for the hospitality industry, human resources management, organizational behaviour, and entrepreneurship, ensuring a strong foundation in business and people management. The program also emphasizes marketing and branding for events, experiential marketing, social media strategies, and guest experience management, enabling students to create engaging,customer-centered events.

Core operational competencies are developed through training in logistics and operations, event protocols and safety management, legal and ethical practices, technology and innovation in event management, and recreation and leisure management. Research methods and a final capstone project allow learners to apply theory to real-world event challenges and demonstrate professional-level competence.

Delivered in Nairobi, a thriving hub for regional and international events, the diploma provides practical exposure and prepares graduates for careers as event managers, producers, coordinators, experiential marketers, hospitality professionals, or entrepreneurs within the events and leisure industry

Entry Requirements

  • KCSE Mean grade C- (PLUS) with C- (PLUS) or above in English or Kiswahili and a D(PLAIN) in Mathematics or any Science
  • IB/A Level 4 Credits with atleast a C in English
  • IGCSE 4 'O' Passes with D and above with atleast a C in English or Kiswahili and C in Math or any Science
